Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh guestbook
"Guest book"? No, this isn't 1997 again. Rather, I simply wonder who else out there has a TAM. What's your story? Do you still use the machine? What for? Does it still make visitors drool?
We really should have our own TAM Owner's Club! I'm now soliciting club names and ideas...Let's hear from you in the comments, wherever you are.
(And if you don't have a TAM, but just want to share your fascination for this wonderful machine, I'd love to hear from you as well!)

No, not taking over it
No, not taking over it officially, just starting a new TAM site, but I do like some of the ideas from tam.axon site so I've incorporated them into the new site. Basically just trying to get every little piece of info on the TAM in one place so it's convenient for folks to find. The TAM is kind of a headach to upgrade or even just keep running, so maybe with all the downloads, upgrade info all in one place it may help someone. Yeah, I keep seeing TAM's on ebay, but I think they're easier to get in the U.S. Would have been nice to own one back in 1997. I imagine it was real advanced back then. I haven't added much lately to the new site, probably going to get some more content soon. Have a few articles I want to post on there too. I'll probably open it up later for other folks if they want to contribute an article or something in our Featured Article section.
Re: No, not taking over it
Sounds good! I registered as a member of your site, so am looking forward to developments.
Re: Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh guestbook
I just launched a new TAM site. Not a lot now but more to come. Still working out all the links and stuff. The site is 20thanniversarymac.comBought my TAM in Sept. '09 and it makes a nice collector's piece. Has the 400 L3 Sonnet with USB and ethernet. The TAM is one of those machines that is so unlike anything else you simply have to have it.
Re: Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh guestbook
Hey, nice to see that! Are you – officially or otherwise – taking over for the long-running site at http://tam.axon.net/ , which looks to be defunct now?
I've added your site to my TAM resources page. So, any luck in hearing from TAM owners?
BTW, you were lucky to find a TAM at such a late date! I bought mine back during its original run, or at least toward the end when Steve J was kicking them out the door!
Re: Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh guestbook
I live in Florida and own a TAM. I would like join or start an owner's club. If you know of any please E-mail back.
Re: Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh guestbook
Sorry for the late reply... I don't see an email address for you, so will have to leave a message here. I hope to have some forums running here before long, including a place for TAM owners to talk. But in the meantime, see the comment introducing http://www.20thanniversarymac.com/ ; that looks like the place to be. I think I'll go join up myself!
