I think that japan people don't hate Apple, but they are in the tech race with the US so, they treat it as a competitor, but who loves the rivals? I think noone.

Image 66: CDs

Gaze upon the CDs that shipped with the TAM. The total list includes:

  • System software / applications CD
  • Welcome Tour CD
  • QuickTime Showcase CD (shown running in earlier shots of the TAM screen)
  • Drive Setup 1.3.1 (needed to update TAM and some Performas from System 7.6 to 8)
  • One other CD with software and demos, including 3D Virtual Pool (can't find CD at moment!)
  • Bose "Hear the Difference" sampler music CD (pieces to show off the Bose sound system)

I believe my TAM also shipped with a System 8 CD-ROM, though 7.6 was preinstalled.

...I thought I would enjoy [my Dell] more with Vista... Nothing worked - none of printers, no USB peripherals, and Vista was so slooooooow! 2 weeks after this Fiasco I sold the laptop and [bought] a MacBook Pro. Since then I've changed all my employee computers to Macs. My more robust systems are Mac Pros, and for personal use I even got a mac mini for my living room. Microsoft had me - but lost me do to high prices on poorly written software. I disagree when people say PCs are cheap. If you want power you actually get more with Mac then with a PC. - Macworld comment
