I think that japan people don't hate Apple, but they are in the tech race with the US so, they treat it as a competitor, but who loves the rivals? I think noone.

Image 65: CD case and keyboard

Another view of the CD case. (It's actually a case for CD-ROMs, a term appearing many times in the User's Manual. I just can't bring myself to use that archaic word "CD-ROM".)

While things look nice on the outside, the inside of the case was bad. The CD sleeves were a nasty, cheap vinyl that wrinkled horribly. Fortunately, the sleeve insert pulled out easily; I trashed it and replaced it with the sleeves from a CD case that I think I picked up for about a dollar. Years later, that cheap replacement insert still looks great.

Things people say

One of the greatest myths about Macs today is that they cost way more than their PC equivalents, when a direct spec-to-spec comparison between the two often proves that is not the case. But the myth persists because that was exactly the situation in the 1990s when Apple churned out a succession of indifferent computers that costs hundreds, if not thousands, more than their competitors.
