John Farr is one of the old-timey "Mac Web" pioneers, once a regular voice on Mac web sites like Apple Matters. Unfortunately, he's no longer with that site and doesn't often write about the Mac at all, but once in a while, a Mac-related post will pop up on his FarrFeed site.

On those occasions when John does weigh in on things computer, you probably won't find yet more nattering about a clock-speed boost or an iPhone rumor. Maybe you'll get just a bloggy note from personal experience (like the latest, linked above), but if you're lucky, it'll be a grand look at what it – the Mac, Apple, computers, whatever – means in the big scheme. Thought-expanding stuff.

If there's no Mac stuff available, the posts are still well worth a read; John's one of the finest writers out there on the 'tubes, putting this scribe (and most others) to shame.

"This is an interesting trend that definitely has legs... As contracts roll out on the BlackBerry we’re going to see more companies adopt Apple technology. This is a sign of the times and will continue in the future."
